In order to successfully execute necessary repairs, please be aware of these routine procedures: - Delivery of equipment and material to job site and set up procedure
- Installation of jacking system
- Digging additional foundations if necessary
- Raise and/or level house
- Installation of shims
- Removal of damaged wood members
- Replacement of wood members with treated material
- Elevations recorded before and after leveling
- Digging and tunneling around existing foundation
- Excavated dirt will be stockpiled in convenient location on job site
- Installation of new segmental precast pilings
- Backfill with excavated dirt or for additional charge dirt will be removed and backfilled with river sand
Also, please note that there may be all of the above, some of the above, or some of the above in combination with other routines. In most cases, the majority of work can be completed outside and underneath the house. Normally, one of our superintendents will require access to take elevations on the day the house is raised. In Jefferson Parish, the Code requires that your gas meter be removed on the day the house is raised, and reconnected after your plumber completes a test on the lines.
